While Pat is away, I’ve planned for playdates with friends and the girls every day. This morning, we got together with Grace and Holly. Charlotte adores Grace, and Grace was nice enough to share her chocolate shake with her during lunch! Thanks Grace!
For the second consecutive weekend we had great weather while we left town to visit relatives. This weekend we were in Vancouver/Portland visiting the Wesolowski’s and Robbins’. We spent most of saturday at my parent’s place and made that our base of operations (thanks to Jonny and Erin for letting us have their room for a couple nights!). On Sunday we went to Gresham where Heidi’s sister and family live, and saw them and Heidi’s mom. By we got home on Monday Charlotte was pretty frazzled from not getting enough naps, but we had a great time seeing everyone!

This video was shot with three different cameras, an HDV camcorder, my DSLR, and Heidi’s Flip MinoHD. Although highly compressed for the web, it’s still pretty amazing how good all of them look. Hope you enjoy!
As Mother’s Day comes to a close, I wanted to post a few photos from today. My day started out with breakfast made by Pat and Charlotte. I was showered with a basket of chocolate and a very cool new fun today, a Flip camcorder. I’m working on editing a video from video shot today, so come back in a day or two to see that. The four of us spent the evening at Gene Coulon park where Charlotte played at the playground, we fed the ducks and finished with a little outside picnic at Ivar’s. Here’s a few photos from today. It was a perfect day, I’m so very lucky to be the Mother of two such sweet, beautiful girls.

Hi Pat/Dad, I put this together for you, but thought all friends and family would enjoy seeing the girls too. Miss you, Pat, I don’t like being a single parent!

Huh? Not sure what that headline means? Don’t worry, it’s not that important. The big news here is that we’ve switched to a new blogging platform. Heidi has been slaving over the computer most of the day getting the new version of the site setup (I threatened to post a picture of her feeding Eleanor with one arm and typing on the computer with the other, but thought better of it). Anyway, what this should mean for our loyal fans moving forward is that there should be lots more interesting features and more better photo/video management on our site in the future. In the short-term, commenting should be significantly improved, so if you like a story or a picture, or even if you don’t, we hope you’ll let us know!
If you see something really broken, please let us know that too. We think this system should serve us well for a long time, but it may take a little while to work out the kinks.
