Flying Away

We left today for our first big vacation since Charlotte joined our family, so we’re going to try something new for this blog: daily updates of our adventures. Flying from Seattle to LA went great today, Charlotte had a great time on the plane and didn’t seem to be bothered by pressure changes in the cabin. Her favorite toy of the day was two used plastic drink cups, which kept her occupied for at least one hour of the two hour flight.
After arriving on time to LAX, we made our way to Santa Monica, which will be temporary home to the Brown Family for the next few days. Once we got to the hotel, we went down and enjoyed a dip in the pool, then walked downtown for a delicious Mexican dinner.
The weather’s not looking too great this week, but but we’re hoping it holds out long enough to get to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier tomorrow.
