She’s starting to fit into the 0-3 month clothing now (last weight check in a week ago was 8 lbs. 10 oz.) so I put on this little camouflage number on today. Pretty funny outfit, we got as a gift, there’s little lace trim and a black bow. I’m not sure what she’d be hunting… perhaps a Wildcat (Cougs are playing them this weekend).
She and I had a fun day running some errands and meeting up with friend Colleen and her 8 week old boy, Milo.
Be sure to check back tomorrow, I’ll post a picture of her Halloween outfit!

Charlotte is already six weeks old and we’re loving every minute with her. She weighed in at 8 lbs. a week ago, and you can see a big difference in her face in these pictures. I LOVE to dress her every day, this is a cute little Baby Dior onesie our friend Cheryl gave us that is so darling.
Dad and Charlotte.
Mom and Charlotte. (And if you noticed, yes, I cut my hair — I needed a “Mom-do” that was quick and easy — and colored it red — why not!)
I love her little hands and feet (Oh – the shoes I get to dress her with!)…

Along with many friends and family, we sent the annoucement of Charlotte’s birth to The White House (something we read about doing online). The White House sent back this very special card which arrived today. The letter will be going in Charlotte’s baby book!
It reads:
Welcome! We are delighted to join your family in celebrating your arrival. You have already brought much happiness to those around you, and you’ve just gotten started!
We are glad you are now part of the wonderful American story. Our Nation holds great opportunities for you. May you make the most of your unique gifts, and may happiness and love surround you always.
Sincerely,
George & Laura Bush

At just one day shy of a month old, Charlotte attended her first football game. Here she is Couged out at the WSU vs. OSU game in Corvallis, October 7th. Hopefully she’ll show more interest in the sport than this as she grows up!
She is a good luck charm for the Cougs, they won 13 to 6.

We’re changing our web host, so the Brown Depot may be a litle flaky for the next week or so. Hopefully with this new host we’ll be able to add even more features to the site, but please bear with us in the meantime.
