Sweet 16 (days)

We celebrated the beautiful day that was Charlotte's 16th day with a trip to the little park across the street. (Has anyone else noticed that the Cougs and Seahawks are both undefeated since Charlotte has been in this world? That's a good sign!)

Our Cat Grew!

This week, Pat and I were both shocked at how huge our cat became during our stay at the hospital. Of course, she didn't grow, but we are now so used to Charlotte's 6 lb. size that our 11 lb. cat seems enormous!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

We were looking at a picture of Heidi at one day old, and thought it was amazing how much our little Charlotte looks like that picture. We tried to get as close to the same pose in a picture of Charlotte, but surprisingly, she wasn't much interested in trying to hold still for a picture! Anyway, for your consideration, Heidi and Charlotte.

We're Home!

Charlotte got to come home today, and met Cougar the cat and Murphy the dog for the first time. Heidi is recovering very well, and Charlotte has a great disposition. I had a chance to have a look at some of the pictures I took at the hospital - here they are.

Alright, I made a mistake. If you receieved the email I sent out Friday morning announcing Charlotte's birth, you may have seen that I wrote:

"Heidi's water broke just after 10:30 PM Wednesday night...Charlotte was delivered by C-Section at 12:55 am September 8th"

That sentence might lead one to belive that Heidi labored for 25 hours before going delivering by cesarean. The reality is that Heidi's water broke just after 10:30 PM Thursday night, and the baby was delivered less than three hours after the water broke. I guess I shouldn't write exciting e-mail at four in the morning anymore! Of course Heidi and I both worked on Thursday, so half the people who got the email probably figured out the mistake pretty quickly... but if you didn't see one of us on Thursday, I apologize.
